Silicon carbide heating element is an electric heating element made of high-purity silicon carbide (SiC) as the main material and sintered at high temperature. It can be heated directly in the air and is widely used in high-temperature electric furnaces and industrial heat treatment equipment. The heating element has good resistance heating performance after being powered on, and can work stably in high temperature environments of 600-1600 °C. It is an upgraded alternative to traditional metal resistance wires.

Silicon Carbide Heating Rod Characteristics
1.Excellent high temperature performance
The continuous operating temperature can reach 1600 °C, and the instantaneous operating temperature can reach around 1700 °C.
Still maintains good mechanical strength at high temperatures.
2. Resistance changes slowly with time (aging slowly)
The resistance gradually increases when used at high temperatures, but the change is smooth and predictable, making it easier for the control system to compensate.
3. Resistant to oxidation and corrosion
A protective SiO2 film will be formed on the surface of silicon carbide to improve oxidation resistance.
4.Good thermal shock stability
It can withstand alternating hot and cold temperatures and is not easily broken due to thermal shock.
5. Easy to install and use
It can be designed into rod type, U type, W type, clip type (spiral), tube type and other shapes according to the requirements.
6. Stable electrical performance
The resistivity is moderate, the temperature coefficient is positive, and automatic adjustment can be achieved.
