Zirconia Bubble Bricks Description
Zirconia bubble bricks are thermal insulation and refractory products made mainly from zirconia hollow spheres. The main crystalline phase of this brick is cubic zirconia (approximately 70% to 80% of the mineral phase composition), with a fire resistance greater than 2400 ºC. The production method of zirconia hollow ball bricks is the same as that of alumina hollow balls, except that its melting temperature is higher, reaching above 2700 ºC. CaO is widely used as a stabilizer in China.
Zirconia Bubble Bricks Features
Zirconia bubble brick is a high-performance insulation material with excellent insulation effect, and has the following main advantages:
1. Low thermal conductivity: Zirconia hollow ball bricks are filled with a large number of air micropores or hollow balls inside, and the bricks themselves have the characteristics of high-temperature ceramics, making their thermal conductivity very low, which can effectively reduce heat transfer. This low thermal conductivity can greatly improve the insulation effect and ensure stable temperature around the heat source.
2. Temperature deformation resistance: Zirconia hollow ball bricks have excellent high-temperature stability and can withstand extremely high temperatures, making them less prone to deformation or melting. Therefore, zirconia hollow ball bricks can maintain good shape and performance in high-temperature environments, without causing a decrease in insulation effect due to long-term use.
3. Good chemical stability: Zirconia hollow ball bricks have excellent chemical stability and can maintain good performance in corrosive environments such as acid and alkali. Therefore, the insulation effect of this material will not decrease due to the action of chemicals.

Zirconia Bubble Bricks Application
Zirconia bubble bricks are excellent thermal insulation and refractory products with a maximum safe operating temperature of 2200 ºC. They are used as high-temperature lining materials in direct contact with flames in thermal equipment in industries such as metallurgy, petrochemical, and electronics, and have good performance. Usually used as insulation materials for furnace covers and other parts in ultra-high temperature equipment, such as medium frequency high-temperature furnaces, carbon black reaction furnaces, tungsten rod furnaces, molybdenum furnaces, etc.
