High alumina castable
High-alumina castable is an amorphous refractory material composed of bauxite clinker (aggregate), binder, and admixture. It can be used directly after adding water and stirring, and is formed by vibration casting. High-aluminum castables need a certain amount of time for setting and hardening after construction, so it takes a certain period of curing before they can be demolded after casting.
According to the volume density of the aggregates (aggregate and powder) used, high-alumina castables can be divided into heavy high-alumina castables, whose bulk density is generally greater than 2.0g/cm; medium-heavy high-alumina castables, whose volume Density 1.0g/cm; lightweight high-alumina castable, bulk density 0.4~1.0g/m.
Features of high alumina castables:
1.It has a certain anti-corrosion performance;
2.High refractory temperature and high softening temperature under load;
3.High compressive strength and excellent thermal shock resistance;
4.Convenient construction, it can be directly poured on the industrial furnace to form a whole lining, or it can be prefabricated into refractory prefabricated blocks, which can be used for masonry in industrial furnaces
Uses of high alumina castables:
The service temperature of high-alumina castable is 1400~1550ºC, which can be used as lining of various heat treatment furnaces and burners, tapping trough of electric furnace, high temperature section of lime shaft kiln, kiln head of rotary kiln, power plant boiler, etc.
