Refractory coating material is an amorphous refractory material. Like other amorphous refractory materials, it is used for lining thermal equipment. It can be directly baked without any firing process. Compared with refractory bricks, it has the characteristics of simple process (because the firing process is omitted), energy saving, low cost, and easy mechanized construction. The use effect is better than refractory bricks on some thermal equipment. Refractory coating materials are composed of refractory fine aggregates and powders with a certain particle size, adding appropriate binders and additives (such as coagulants, plasticizers, swelling agents, etc.), and are mixed with water or other liquid binders. use.
Common refractory coating materials include the following materials:
Aluminosilicate coating material - mullite type, using fused or sintered mullite as raw material; high alumina type, using bauxite clinker as raw material; clay type, using burnt gemstone as main raw material.
Corundum smear - made of corundum as raw material, its Al2O3 content is generally greater than 90%.
Silica coating material - made of quartz as raw material, its SiO2 content is above 90%. .
