Mullite Bricks are a kind of high alumina refractory materials with mullite (3Al2O3·2SiO2) as the main crystal phase and containing 65~75% alumina content. and the refractory of mullite brick is relatively high, reaching above 1790 ºC. The starting temperature of load softening is 1600 ~ 1700 ºC. Good thermal shock resistance. There are two kinds of sintered mullite bricks and fused mullite bricks.
Mullite Insulation Brick is a kind of quality refractory insulation materials for resisting high temperature with features of light weight, low thermal conductivity, thermal insulation and high compression strength in the high temperature furnaces or kilns. Mullite Insulation Bricks are mainly used for the top of hot blast stove, stack and bottom of blast furnace, regenerative chamber of glass melting furnace, lining of ceramic high temperature furnace and so on.
Features:
1. Low bulk density, low thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation performance.
2. Refractory category allow direct contact of fire, suitable ofr various atmosphere
3. Good integrity with furnace lining, long service life, easy operation, could be shaped freely
4. Product specification: standard form, normal standard, shaped and special shaped bricks.
5. Can be used in various kilns because of its cheapness and general tray package. Among all of the refractory materials, it is the most widely used.
Category of Refractory Brick:
a) According the made method, it can be divided into burnt brick, unburned brick, and electric smelting brick.
b) According the shape and size, it can be divided into standard brick, general brick and abnormal shape brick.
c) According the content of the Al2O3, it can be divided into fire clay brick, high alumina brick, mullite brick, corundum brick.
