Refractory Concrete

Refractory concrete is a new type of material. It is made of bauxite cement, phosphoric acid or water glass as a cement and mixed with waste refractory brick particles as aggregate. It can maintain certain physical properties at high temperatures without destroy.

At present, the types of refractory concrete are divided according to the cementing materials:

(1) Alumite cement refractory concrete;|
(2) phosphoric acid refractory concrete;
(3) Water glass refractory concrete;
(4) Portland cement refractory concrete;
(5) Low-quality calcium-aluminate cement refractory concrete;
(6) Magnesia cement refractory concrete;
(7) Slag silicate refractory concrete; .
(8) lightweight refractory concrete;

Divided by temperature:

(1) Low temperature refractory concrete (below 1000°C);
(2) Medium temperature refractory concrete (below 1200°C);
(3) High temperature refractory concrete (above 1200°C).

At present, the most widely used are alum cement refractory concrete, phosphoric acid refractory concrete and water glass refractory concrete.
