Zirconium Silicate---(ZrSiO2) Description:

High-grade zirconium silicate is an ultra-fine zirconium silicate produced under strict process and laboratory quality control conditions, and is recommended for high-quality enamelware.

It can be used to replace the coarse opacifiers used in the past in color glazes, in response to the obvious trend of color brightening.

 

Zirconium Silicate Properties:

The melting point of zirconium silicate is 2340~2550ºC. Under oxidizing conditions, it is stable at 1300~1500ºC; decomposes at 1550~1750ºC to generate ZrO2SiO2. The coefficient of linear thermal expansion is 5.0´10-6/ºC (200~1000ºC), and it is resistant to vibration and has good stability. It does not react with CaO, SiO2, C, Al2O3, etc. at high temperature, has strong slag corrosion resistance, and does not stick to molten steel.
